Thanks for joining me!
Blogging is something that I have seen all over social media, in fact, I use it everyday. I use blog posts to find delicious recipes, DIY crafts, inspiration, and so much more. I realized that it was time to use my creations and advice to help others.
Alex and I were driving in the car on the way to our family Christmas this weekend. Since it was so close to the new year, we were discussing our New Year’s resolutions from 2018. We realized that a lot of our resolutions were ones that were unrealistic in the amount of time given. That’s when we came up with the idea that we should create a new type of New Year’s goal; One that we can work together to achieve.
In 2018, we sometimes found ourselves on our phones or watching TV more than spending quality time together as a couple. I thought, “Why don’t we create a long list of date ideas that are affordable and adventurous?!” So here it is:
50+ Affordable Date Ideas
- Cheese and Wine Night
- Fondue Night

- Sports Game (professional/college)

- Baking Day
- Giving Day ($30): Whether it’s paying for the person behind you at Starbucks or hiding $5 gift cards in a local grocery store, this is a great way to have a fun night while giving back.

- Youtube Dancing Class: Instead of paying money to receive lessons somewhere, YouTube has dancing lessons for you to practice the salsa, rumba, cha-cha, tango, and many more.

- Farmer’s Market
- View Wedding/ Childhood Photo Album
- Scavenger Hunt: Each person creates a set of clues leading to some sort of prize or gift.
- Run a Race: Whether it’s one mile or a half marathon, this is a great way to get motivated for the new year and hold each other accountable.
- Pub Trivia Night
- Brew Your Own Beer: Alex and I are so excited to do this this year! We bought a kit online from amazon.com. https://www.amazon.com/Mr-Beer-Premium-Gold-Homebrewing/dp/B001BCFUBU
- Humane Society: What’s better than being on a date with the one you love while playing with adorable puppies?
- Learn a New Language: This could be a long-term goal or just learning a few words from a language you are unfamiliar with.
- Camping
- Attend Open Houses
- Horseback Riding
These are just a few of our date ideas and we hope you are able to use some of these in 2019. I believe that adventuring is so important, yet sometimes people get in the habit of scrolling through Instagram too often.
The best thing about a new year is being able to reflect on the year and learn from it. Cheers to a new year filled with adventure and quality time with the ones I love most. There is good in every day, find it!
Sincerely,
Keisha 🙂
P.S.- These “date” ideas can be done with friends or family to spend quality time with them, too!
“Everyday might not be a good day, but there is good in every day.”
